SOUTHWEST GEORGIA PROJECT FOR COMMUNITY EDUCATION
The Southwest Georgia Project was a direct outgrowth of the civil rights work of Rev. and Mrs. Charles Charles Sherrod during the mid '60s. The work has been focused on empowering Black people, desegregating schools, ensuring voting rights and defending against land loss within the Black community.
